Kennedys is looking to recruit an ambitious Associate to assist Mark Burton our Head of Catastrophic Injury.  Mark is a leading individual and acts for a range of household-name insurers.  The role involves a mixed caseload of large loss EL/PL and motor claims valued at £250,000 and over. The successful Associate will handle their own cases below £1m initially and assist senior team members on their catastrophic cases.  There are genuine opportunities for marketing projects and client relationships.

Our national practice services personal injury claims from seven office locations across the UK. The London team is a major force in the local market and is ranked in the top tier for defendant personal injury by the legal directories. We act on complex and high-profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognized as market leaders in this sector. We are often instructed on UK cases requiring cross-border quantum investigations via our international offices.

We avoid unnecessary lawyering and are focused on working in partnership with our clients and delivering modern solutions, including our in-house R&D capability and award-winning product suite of technological and process innovations.

Experience

  • 0-4 years’ experience in a defendant personal injury law firm*
  • Experience of multi-track EL/PL and/or motor claims including larger losses
  • Experience of progressing case plans under supervision
  • Client contact experience
  • Experience of assisting on catastrophic claims and Ogden 7 calculations would be advantageous.
