Kennedys is looking to recruit an Associate to join our global marine team based in the London office. Our global marine insurance team works for London, Lloyd’s and UK marine insurers and reinsurers, and we regularly act for international markets in Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and the Americas. Many of the world’s largest insurance companies depend on our judgement when faced with complex, high-value and sensitive multi-jurisdictional disputes. We are pragmatic, straightforward and commercial. Our team works for most of the major London, Lloyd’s and UK marine insurers and reinsurers, and we regularly act for international markets in Europe, Russia and the CIS, Middle East, Asia, the USA and Latin America.

The successful Associate will handle and assist in handling of marine insurance (primarily hull, war, marine liability, mortgagee’s interest insurance and yachts but also cargo), and wet and dry shipping.  The role will also include some non-contentious work. Some overseas travel may be required.
