JOB TITLE: Residential Conveyancing Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 2-5 years PQE
LOCATION: West Midlands (Commutable from Wolverhampton, Codsall, Dudley, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Stourport)
The appointed Residential Conveyancing Solicitor will take responsibility of their own caseload from the outset and will process files from the initial stages through to post-completion. They will manage a varied caseload in both value and complexity, which will include sale and purchases, re-mortgages, plot purchases and shared ownership. In addition to taking on their own caseload, the Residential Conveyancing Solicitor will support other members of the team and become actively involved in the development of the department.
The ideal Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Legal Executive will have gained between two and five years of post qualification experience within a residential property department. Candidates should have exceptional knowledge of all areas of residential property and should have a sold understanding of sale, purchase and re-mortgage in relation to both leasehold and freehold.
The Residential Conveyancing Solicitor should have proven experience of processing files from the initial stage through to post-completion, and be confident that they are able to carry this out independently or with very little supervision. The Residential Conveyancing Solicitor should be a strong communicator and have excellent client care skills. It would be advantageous if candidates had some knowledge of case management, the Land Registry portal and online conveyancing software, although this is not a requirement and full training will be provided.
