Pensions Senior Associate, Bristol
First rate pensions role for an experienced pensions lawyer at around senior associate level and looking in Bristol. My client is a Top 50 award winning law firm with a reputation for top quality City work delivered in a highly personable and professional way.
The role has arisen as a result of the team's ongoing success. You are likely to have at least around 5 or 6 years pensions experience under your belt from a City or top regional firm and are now seeking either a step up or a move from the City to Bristol. Either way, you can have your cake and eat it with this role- Chambers rated, stellar work within a truly dynamic and flexible culture.
You will be dealing with a wide range of work including advising on a variety of pensions issues from risk reduction exercises (such as pension increases exchanges, buy-ins and buyouts and alternative funding arrangements) to advising pension schemes going through a Pension Protection Fund ("PPF") assessment period or an Administering Authority on matters relating to the Local Government Pension Scheme ("LGPS"). The team also have particular expertise in the pensions aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals, scheme mergers, insolvencies, restructuring and wind-ups. Acting on behalf of employers, trustees and representative beneficiaries on complex litigation claims, including professional negligence work and Part 8 claims, the work is both high quality and varied.
