JOB TITLE: Banking Solicitor

PQE REQUIRED: 12 months+ PQE

LOCATION: Devon (Commutable from: Bath, Bristol, Barnstaple, Exmouth, Exeter, Lyme Regis, Okehampton & Taunton)

SALARY: Competitive

THE ROLE:

Joining a dynamic and highly respected Insolvency team, the successful Banking Solicitor will be dealing with matters such as the ownership of lower value instructions including residential property realisations, possession and sale proceedings, recovery of directors loan accounts, debtor ledger collection, drafting and filing administration appointments and less complex business sales. The role of Banking Solicitor will also involve assisting senior team members in relation to more complex investigation and recovery actions including asset tracing (including international recovery), unlawful dividend claims, and misfeasance/breach of duty claims. Assistance will also be required in relation to larger non-contentious matters such as business and asset sales, corporate restructuring and banking/finance. The team prides itself in acting on behalf of some of the UK's largest banking corporations and finance houses, as well as for borrowers in substantial restructuring and insolvency matters. In this respect, the firm punches well above its weight, having advised on some of the largest restructuring and insolvency matters in the market in recent years.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Banking Solicitor will have undertaken seats in the business along with experience of property and contentious matters being advantageous. The ideal Banking Solicitor will possess a commercial approach and an ability to provide clients with solutions, with an interest and an ability to quickly understand the client's business is essential. Positive and pro-active approach and the ability to respond under pressure and adapt to a variety of situations. Our client is looking for a Banking Solicitor with both drive and enthusiasm to succeed.
