Our client is a global manufacturing business with its global headquarters in Luxembourg and regional offices in Germany, US and APAC. This business is a market leader in its field of developing innovative and safe thermal, acoustic and mechanical solutions that create sustainable value for its customers. As a result of continued growth a position has been created for a Group General Counsel to oversee all legal aspects of the business and provide legal guidance whilst managing any possible legal risk.

The Role
You will report to the CEO and work closely with the CFO acting as the main company lawyer on all major business decisions including mergers/acquisitions and joint ventures. You will support other regional offices on commercial law matters where you will be a valued team member and 'go to' person in the Group. This is an excellent opportunity within a diverse environment where you will be exposed to a variety of commercial law matters with a transactional focus in Corporate M&A. This position will enable you to quickly develop your own a legal team.

The Candidate
You will be a Common Law qualified solicitor with 5yrs + gained from a leading law firm and current in house commercial law experience ideally from a multinational midsize corporation (500m - 1.5bn revenues). You will be required to work autonomously with a pragmatic ability to advise as a strong Corporate partner at Group level and across a diverse, high calibre operations focused on Senior Leadership where you can add commercial value with your advice and decision. Candidates must have excellent communication skills with the ability to draft and negotiate in English as you will be required to communicate effectively throughout the business. This is a newly created role offering a competitive salary and relocation package. Previous experience gained from a private equity environment is advantageous.
