A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal billing coordinator to join a leading international full service law firm within their Liverpool city centre office.

You will be required to have client legal billing/revenue background, experience of operating in a similar role within professional services is essential, together with a passion for excellent client service.

Legal sector experience is desirable but not essential.

The firm, based in Liverpool, is offering a competitive salary banding plus excellent benefits package.

Duties for this legal billing coordinator role include:
  • Engage with teams working on multi office client matters to confirm billing arrangements, embed client service commitments and ensure we operate in line with the client's billing guidelines.
  • Build strong relationships with all the firm's office finance teams and ensure all international client billing plans and strategies are seamless.
  • Monitor instructions, tracking client activity and billing requirements, utilising systems such as the Aderant Billing Software and Solutions Portal to store documents, gather, analyse and review information, facilitate communications and report on activity.
  • Understand, clarify and communicate billing requirements to all international teams on client matters.
  • Coordinate the preparation of client invoices and intercompany invoices, ensuring billing processes align with client specific rules, working with fee earners on the international firm's guidelines.
  • Liaise with finance teams across all offices to ensure timely client specific WIP and Disbursement reporting.
  • Manage billing deadlines for specific client relationships, ensuring all fee earners submit required info before deadline expiry, leaving time for review and submission.
  • Create high level engagement reports for the relationship team and client.
  • Work closely with the BD Team to implement the client plan and spot opportunities to deepen existing strategic client relationships, through reporting.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting requests and seek to establish and develop effective working relationships with client partners, other fee earners and business support teams.
  • Work with client and supervising partners to help create matter plans routinely as per client guidelines, keeping the finance team up to date.
