JOB TITLE: Head of Employment - Derbyshire
PQE REQUIRED: 8+
LOCATION: Derbyshire (Commutable from: Derby, Long Eaton, Burton Upon Trent, Swadlincote, Nottingham, Stoke on Trent)
SALARY: £dependant on experience
Based in Derbyshire, the employment department of this well regarded law firm is on the lookout for an Employment Partner to play a key role in the growth and development of the highly rated team. With a number of well known individuals who cover the broad spectrum of employment related work, you will be working alongside some of the most knowledgeable partners and associates within the employment field and be expected to provide an outstanding service to a varied client base. The successful Employment Partner will be dealing with both non contentious and contentious related employment matters including business transfers, redundancy, trade unions, employment disputes and TUPE. You must be able to go out and win new work and be able to demonstrate a sizeable following of contacts that are able to instruct you on future matters. This position would suit ambitious Employment Solicitors who are looking for the next step in their career and the chance to take charge of a leading department.
In order to be considered for the role of Employment Partner / Head of the Employment Department you must have the drive and determination to succeed in a role which comes with a high level of responsibility. This role is not for shrinking violets and if you are able to take the bull by the horns and hit the ground running then this is could be the perfect position for you. Ideal Employment Partners / Heads of Department will have a minimum of 8+ years experience in TUPE, discrimination, equal pay and also redundancies. You will also be well placed to undertake your own advocacy and be able to assist on employment issues which arise from drafting contracts of employment and handbooks.
