My client, a Top 50 UK law firm, is seeking to recruit a junior solicitor for its growing Court of Protection team in Birmingham to assist a wide range of clients with the management of their financial affairs.

Dealing with all aspects of Court of Protection work, you will focus on the management of the financial affairs of individuals who lack the mental capacity to make decisions themselves. As one might expect, this can be a challenging area of law, requiring a varied set of soft and hard skills. However, this is also a hugely rewarding field and you will be making clear positive changes to your clients' lives.

You will ideally be a solicitor or equivalently qualified, who has at least 2 years' post qualified experience in Court of Protection work. The successful Court of Protection solicitor will be tasked with running your own caseload while assisting other team members with work such as applications for the appointments of deputies, statutory will applications and the ongoing administration of the financial affairs of individuals who lack mental capacity. More experienced candidates could be considered.

The firm offers a generous basic salary with a full lifestyle benefits package, as well as the opportunity to develop your experience working alongside leading practitioners in this growing legal field.

For an initial confidential discussion about this Birmingham based Court of Protection solicitor role, please contact Andrew Cookson, or apply enclosing your current CV. 0121 609 1069.
