An exciting opportunity has arisen in London for an IP renewals clerk to join a well established IP firm. An attractive salary and benefits package is on offer at these lovely central London offices.
 
As an IP renewals clerk, your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Processing renewal instructions by filing renewal applications for patents/designs/trademarks in the UK/overseas/EUIPO/WIPO.
  • Processing FA renewal instruction acknowledgements by updating receipt details on Inprotech (IPT).
  • Processing overdue and lapse notifications received from UKIPO/EUIPO and foreign associates, including updating details on IPT and forwarding to the client.
  • Processing and updating IPT on receipt of abandonment/renewal handled elsewhere/transferred elsewhere and paid by third party instructions.
  • Process and send out the UK/overseas renewal certificates and other official confirmations of renewal (to include obtaining extracts from databases to issue as confirmations of renewal).
  • Review and send out renewal reminders to the client via email/fax/post.
  • Obtaining FA renewal quotes and updating details on IPT.
  • Checking FA reminders and quotes, updating quote details on IPT, including monitoring accuracy of IPT next renewal date entries.
  • Reporting renewal data discrepancies to IPT support and monitoring update of IPT records.
General:
  • Responsibility for sending out daily renewal post.
  • Scanning and filing renewal correspondence using Document Management system.
  • Responding to client/fee earner and partner renewal queries.  Ability to do so verbally and in writing required.
  • Ordering certified copies for renewal purposes. Filing forms for registration of address for service at the renewal stage.
  • Assist with the maintenance of renewal folders, and archiving renewal data.
  • Issuing manual invoices/credit notes and proforma invoices when required.
  • Maintenance of renewals data on IPT, including management of ad hoc reminders.
  • Daily review of staff reminders and due date lists.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested by the supervisor.
