My client is currently looking to recruit a permanent Commercial Manager with a legal background to join their vibrant office based in central Bristol.

Reporting to the Commercial Director the purpose of the role is will be to develop, implement and continuously improve commercial strategies, processes and procedures required to conduct the Company's business. To assist in negotiations and the management of all of the Company's commercial relationships including support for prequalification, tendering, contracting and post-award activities.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of key commercial and contractual risks. Organise, manage and co-ordinate commercial documentation provided by internal staff and external contractors and clients. Prepare and implement commercial and contracting procedures and processes. Carry out detailed contract reviews across the whole company and various departments.

The successful candidate can be Contracts Manager, Legal Executive, Paralegal or qualified Solicitor but must have an excellent knowledge and understanding of contract law coupled with a strong commercial background.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential as is the ability to work on one's own initiative and as part of a fast moving, dynamic team.
