This particular role is for someone at a relatively junior level, probably 3-5 years pqe, but who wants to be fast tracked make a considerable step up in the next 12 to 18 months. The practice in question handle some of their client's most complex transactions, drawing on considerable international and national resource. They also have sector focussed experts who support, ensuring that they not only handle the work at the highest technical level but also deliver significant commercial value.
The work itself is primarily transactional in a range of areas covering:
M&A (public and private and both domestic and international cross border)
equity capital markets
If you have a more general skill set and want to develop a specialisation as your career progresses you will be fully supported in this.
They will also fully support you in honing your strategic client development skills. There will be external training and the firm have an internal programme to enable the development of these skills with realistic expectations. They have multidisciplinary groups on non-partners working together to set objectives, really developing this key skill and delivering considerable client contact opportunities as well as ensuring that you know a wide base of lawyers within the firm both nationally and internationally.
In terms of the skills that they are keen for this person to possess, they would like someone:
