PRIVATE EQUITY PARTNER – PRACTICE HEAD

Ref: 11210

Driven private equity partner sought by highly successful central London law firm for head of practice role.

This firm has enjoyed several years of great success as it has outperformed competitors with consistently impressive financial performance both in terms of revenue growth and increases in profits.  Consequently, it has been of ever-increasing appeal to partners who have been surpassing their peer group at large City/international firms that have experienced more mixed fortunes in recent years.

Well-run by effective management, this independent single-office central London firm has a very bright future.  Having considerable strength in corporate, and established and growing capabilities in funds and finance, the partnership is keen to further bolster its existing private equity offering specifically.

The firm has a thriving reputation for corporate law transactions (mainly mid-market), and is growing faster than larger international/City firm competitors.  Currently, the firm is better known for public and private M&A, corporate finance, capital markets, corporate real estate and venture capital work.  Several of the firm’s corporate partners have a track record in private equity too, as part of their practice, including acting for existing investors, management and private equity houses.

Recent transactions include investments and disposals within the hotels, leisure, hospitality, retail, technology, communications, health, medical, recruitment and manufacturing arenas.  Although a single-office firm in central London, the work has regularly involved non-UK clients investing in, or trading with, the UK, whether from Europe, Africa, the US, the Middle East or Asia.

There is scope for further growth, however, and the private equity space has been identified as a key area for development.  The firm is keen to bring on board a driven partner who is committed to private equity as a primary focus area, to head up this practice.

Joining the firm, you would become part of a corporate practice with sufficient critical mass to handle big ticket work, with the relevant supporting expertise in investment funds, finance and tax.  You will play a lead role in the strategic direction of the corporate group, and be a central part of the group’s continued growth.

If you would like to join a well-run, thriving, strategic firm, with a supportive, transparent and participative culture, get in touch.
