Partnership role on offer for established family partner, or senior associate seeking immediate partnership, with UK Top 100 full service law firm in its longstanding London office.

Your new platform:

Having a strong brand in the private client sector, providing high net worth individuals with a full suite of services, this Legal 500 and Chambers rated firm seeks to further develop its family law offering with a key hire in London.

The private client services group contributes several millions in revenue annually, and is regarded amongst the best in the South East of England, including in central London.  There is scope for growth in London, however, particularly on the family side, and this will provide the perfect platform for a motivated practitioner who would relish the opportunity to take up a leading role.

In line with the overall firm’s collegial culture, the family practice in London works collaboratively with the firm’s successful residential property and tax and estate planning teams, as well as leveraging the various business services divisions, and brings in very good quality work.

The right candidate will slot seamlessly into this successful setup, picking up existing work and further capitalising on opportunities for an increasing flow of instructions from within the firm’s established clients and network.

Whilst awaiting the right person, complex matters requiring partner-level attention have been managed by the firm’s preeminent family partners in other office locations, but the partnership is very keen to see this work return to the London office.

Your new role:

This is a key, pivotal role within a highly regarded family and private client practice, as the go-to partner leading the team in the London office.

With the full support of the renowned family law partners in other office locations, and leveraging the wider private and business services teams, you will optimise the firm’s potential on the family side in London, capitalising on opportunities for growth.

Benefiting from the firm’s accommodating and collegial culture, dedicated marketing team, and efficient systems and infrastructure, you will be given all the assistance you need to successfully raise the practice’s profile.

The existing family practice attracts a complete range of high quality family work, with a focus on financial remedies, and including a fair proportion of private childrens matters.  Matters handled by the team regularly involve more complex issues and an international dimension, and the partners are known for their mediation and collaborative law expertise.

Whilst the new partner will need to be fully conversant with high net worth ancillary relief matters, the team would welcome and support the development of particular niche areas too, whether this be maximising on opportunities afforded by fluency in a second language, or a track record advising individuals in a particular sector, or any other unique angle.

This position will suit a partner or motivated senior associate who is just as interested in leading the team, and developing other lawyers, as undertaking the client work itself.
