Regulatory Senior Associate sought by leading City of London law firm with pre-eminent insurance sector practice.

With the insurance sector facing a great many interesting challenges, now is the perfect time to be immersed in this market place.  Demand for expertise in non-contentious commercial, corporate and regulatory matters relating to insurance businesses is as high as ever.

Some firms might dabble in the insurance sector, or have established a credible enough offering and a good number of clients.  My client has a longstanding history in the market, however, and their reputation for all manner of insurance-related legal work, and their impressively extensive client list, is second-to-none.

Regulatory based instructions of all types continue to stream into the department, and the practice head is very keen to bring in an ambitious and technically-able Senior Associate who would relish the opportunity to join a market leader offering a clear path to partnership.

Being entrenched in the market, this firm’s regulatory instructions are both varied and of a high quality.  The firm acts for life and general insurance clients, and this includes household name global brand pursuing world domination, on the one hand, and new entrants into the market, on the other, who face an equally interesting set of challenges.

It is rare to find such a collegial practice with such a joined up approach.  This is not a Swiss verein or franchise model where partners are not consistently fully incentivised to pull in the same direction.  Moreover, the firm’s evolution over the years, and the structure of its business, chiefly revolves around its insurance sector clients and how to service their needs.

The regulatory team is an integral part of the firm’s leading corporate and commercial offering, which competes on a par with or stands above those Magic Circle firms and select other City firms with a concentration on insurance.

As well as having a preeminent reputation in their own right, the corporate, commercial and regulatory lawyers also profit by way of the deeper bonds the firm has made with insurance businesses on account of the invaluable services they provide day in day out via their preeminent insurance disputes practice.  All the support teams, including tax, employment and IP all have longstanding expertise specific to the sector.

If you have gained valuable expertise in non-contentious or contentious insurance regulatory matters (or both), and see your long term future immersed in this sector, get in touch now to learn more about the advantages you would gain from this move.
