Our client is actively looking for a partner of high calibre specialising in the practice area of real estate. The successful individual will have a broad range of experience, management and business development skills and a portable following.

The partners in the department deal with a mix of general commercial property work, including investment, portfolio acquisitions and sales, general landlord and tenant work and property management for clients with substantial property holdings. They also act for a number of leisure and hotel clients and retailers, brands in both high street locations and within major town centre developments. In addition they are dealing with proposed commercial property funds.

Real estate has always been a substantial part of this firm's practice and it is their objective to build on this and increase the size of the property department during the next five years. They intend to achieve this both by organic growth and by lateral hiring.

Currently their objective is to recruit a partner with proven marketing skills and the ability and enthusiasm to develop a substantial following. This partner will be expected to be a team player as well as a strong outward looking business developer with a proven track record. Needless to say, he or she will also be expected to display a keen sense of commerciality and to demonstrate a high level of competence and diligence in drafting and negotiation, client care and in their approach generally.

They would expect the partner appointed be an active member of the firm-wide real estate sector group and, within the property department, to lead property investment within a relatively short period.
