My client is a high profile firm in Nottingham with a national client base.
 
You will be an experienced Court of Protection inquest solicitor and advocate dealing on behalf of healthcare clients including NHS bodies, local authorities and independent health and social care providers.
  
You will manage a caseload of varied cases of advice and representation on health and social care advisory issues, including mental health, Court of Protection, mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, inquests, medical treatment decisions, welfare planning disputes, safeguarding, access and funding disputes. 
 
As a Court of Protection inquest solicitor, you will have excellent technical skills and a strong academic background.

You will have experience in advising on complex technical aspects of process and procedure and experience of inquests, in particular, relating to:
  • Court of Protection,
  • mental health,
  • mental capacity,
  • healthcare applications,
  • section 21 challenges,
  • adult safeguarding,
  • consent to medical treatment,
  • end of life care,
  • continuing healthcare,
  • access to funding,
  • direct payments,
  • immigration,
  • judicial review,
  • and human rights claims.
You will possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and advocacy skills – including inquests and Court of Protection hearings.
 
Business development and attending seminars and events will form part of this role.
