An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Construction Solicitor to join a highly regarded firm in Leeds City Centre. Our client is a progressive commercial firm who has continued to grow during the downturn. Whilst they are not one of the big 6 they offer excellent support and development and have a strong infrastructure.
You will be dealing with a mix of contentious and non-contentious construction work with a bias towards the former. The firm has a large property practice and act for a lot of commercial and residential developers which can be a great source of work. The role would suit a Construction Solicitor who has the confidence to take on responsibility for some of their own matters; there is plenty of direct client contact and the opportunity to get involved in business development and marketing. That said, there is also a good level of support from highly skilled Partners.
Ideally they are looking for someone with 5 or 6 years' experience under their belt but they are however happy to look outside of this for someone with the right level of knowledge/experience to undertake the role. It would really suit someone who has perhaps found that they have a glass ceiling where they are and feel that they would benefit from a little more autonomy.
