Employment law partner sought by highly regarded Top 100 UK firm in London.

Having an impressive and diverse client base, and a high quality full service corporate/commercial and private client offering, this is the perfect platform for a successful and established employment partner, or ambitious and up and coming junior partner (or even a blocked senior associate).

The firm’s employment law team is home to ten talented fee earners already, led by impressive partners praised highly in the legal directories and considered to be good to work with by colleagues and clients alike.  There is scope for further growth, however, and the department head is very keen to welcome on board a like-minded employment specialist who will fit in with the collegial and motivated team.

The would be a great move for an employment partner who feels restricted by his or her current firm’s sector and practice area focus.  The firm acts for its fair share of financial services clients, and large public companies, but a greater proportion of the employment team’s clients stem from a complete range of sectors and include small to medium sized businesses and UK based household names.  They are better placed than some of the larger and more international City firms when it comes to servicing companies in the retail market (including luxury brands), prominent restaurant businesses, leisure and hotels clients, technology and media entities (extending to publishing, arts and sport).  The team is equally comfortable advising employers and senior executives.

An all-rounder joining this team would be able to continue to successfully develop each string to his or her bow, but the department would also be able to accommodate individuals with a particular niche in most cases.  The existing team has a strong track record for all manner of contentious and non-contentious employment work, from advising on handbooks, contracts and policies, to employment aspects of transactional matters like corporate restructurings, outsourcing arrangements, or significant disputes in the Employment Tribunal or High Court.  The team’s expertise also extends to data protection and privacy issues.

Whereas many firms are pushing more and work to regional offices, or keeping international expansion at the top of the agenda, this firm is committed to London.  The firm has made smart investments in its infrastructure and brand, and now is an excellent time to join and reap the benefit.
