THE ORGANISATION

A charitable organisation providing services to the educational sector.

THE ROLE

Based in the City, a role has arisen for Legal Services Manager and Solicitor to head up a small team.

The work encompasses contract management relating to the provision of services delivered by the charity.

This includes contract and service level agreement (SLA) negotiations with sub- committees, local authorities and or other funders/public, voluntary and private organisations.

The work will also involve managing the charity's property portfolio and contracts arising from capital projects.

This will include ensuring licences and leases are completed in accordance with instructions from the internal client and in the best interests of the charity.

You will also liaise on contract and service level agreement negotiations with local authorities and other public, voluntary and private bodies in conjunction with the charity's divisional and sub-committee staff.

Other duties will include advising on commercial contracts including IT and marketing as well as managing debt collection and small claims.


ABOUT YOU

Admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and with at least 2pqe, your experience is likely to include contract management in a public, private or voluntary sector body.

You should have knowledge of landlord and tenant law in a commercial context and experience of negotiating commercial leases and licences.

Experience of drafting and advising on commercial sales of goods and general commercial contracts agreements is required.

Ideally available at relatively short notice, you should have an understanding of the voluntary sector, charity law and data protection requirements.
