A unique opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal from either a litigation, corporate/commercial or personal injury background to try something a little different and join successful in-house team at a hugely successful Maritime department in Newcastle. Those with strong academics looking to take on a new challenge are encouraged to apply for this role.

Working in a successful Shipping firm, you will join their in-house legal team and assist fee earners on a variety of issues such as accidents at sea, pay disputes and some professional indemnity work. The Role:
-The main function of your role will be to help progress fee earners' caseloads and manage all legal procedural matters in relation to this. This will cover providing Geographical Team internal reporting, member relationship management and administration support.
-You will be assisting with the department in Claims Reporting procedures and other claims administration tasks and assisting with discrete research tasks, legal and claims related data collection and management systems.
-Your workload will cover a variety of maritime issues such as charter pay disputes, operational and contractual disputes and some professional indemnity work.
-The role does come with opportunity for progression further down the line.
-Our client is looking for someone who can actively engage in firm-wide activities and initiatives to promote the department and the organisation as a whole.
