We are currently working on a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Business Manager to join an expanding Debt Recovery team in a well-respected law firm. This role is ideal for someone who loves external client work, enjoys working with clients to develop the services delivers to them as well as looking at ways of further developing the client of the team. This is a very outward facing role with real opportunity to shape the departments offer, with full support from their business development and marketing team.

Our client, who are a full service legal 200 firm, are based in the heart of Leeds city centre. They
have an incredibly friendly working atmosphere, which is complimented by their lovely open plan offices and they are a firm where employees stay long term. This really is a fantastic opportunity for a debt recovery lawyer with client management and development experience to join a well-known practice at the forefront of their industry.

The Role

You will have responsibility for managing the current portfolio of clients in the Debt Recovery department whilst developing and maintaining new commercial opportunities
Responsibility for all client relationship management activities within the department
Supervision will be provided by the Head of Debt Recovery and you would work closely with them on combining both strategic and business development duties to ensure continued growth of the department
You will provide technical and strategic advice externally and internally
The role will involve working closely with Partners and other Heads of Departments to ensure that their DRU services constantly meet the changing needs of the firm
It would be really helpful if you have some experience of regulatory and compliance matters relating to Debt Recovery too

The Candidate

Proven business development and/or sales experience and networking skills
Proven record of maintaining effective client relationships and developing and building new work opportunities
Technically strong with a breath of commercial debt recovery experience
You will have fantastic communication skills, be target driven and have a flexible, adaptable and methodical approach to work.
Our client will consider candidates who have upwards of 5 years pqe. However, this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant knowledge/experience.
