Venn Group are supporting one of the largest local authorities and joint legal services in North London in their recruitment for a Property Lawyer on an on-going locum basis.The Council is a busy services with high quality and varied workload - offering the ability for any lawyers experience to be developed and expanded. Due to the authority being a joint legal service, the work on offer is varied and interesting, with a very good support network offered across the service.
The role requires varied property expertise including but not limited to:
Dealing with commercial and residential leases including grants, assignments, surrenders, renewals and extensionsHandling licences to assign, licences for alterations, rent deposit deeds and deeds of guaranteeDealing with Compulsory Purchase OrdersHandle right to first refusal buy backsManage a varied caseload that could include deeds of easement, amenity land/open space transfers, reports on title, overage agreements, deeds of covenant, wayleave agreements, compliance certificates, sales of amenity land and unregistered and registered title transactions
The post will be on going on a full-time basis and the client is able to offer flexibility in regards to home working, after 3-5 day in office induction to ensure all IT and system training is provided.
It is essential that applicants are either a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, with a current practicing experience and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in proprety matters, ideally gained in local government at some point.
