You will be working along side approachable, enthusiastic Partner who is keen to grow the team at Associate -Senior Associate level, due to the amount of work coming in, this team is just going from strength to strength. This area of law seems to be recession proof, and with a solid pipeline of instructions coming through and consistent client growth this is a great opportunity.
You will be dealing with a wide range of work including advising on a variety of pensions issues from risk reduction exercises (such as pension increases exchanges, buy-ins and buyouts and alternative funding arrangements) to advising pension schemes going through a Pension Protection Fund ("PPF") assessment period or an Administering Authority on matters relating to the Local Government Pension Scheme ("LGPS"). The team also have particular expertise in the pensions aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals, scheme mergers, insolvencies, restructuring and wind-ups. Acting on behalf of employers, trustees and representative beneficiaries on complex litigation claims, including professional negligence work and Part 8 claims, the work is both high quality and varied.
