JOB TITLE: Real Estate Development Solicitor

PQE REQUIRED: 2 years+ PQE

LOCATION: Birmingham

SALARY: £Excellent

THE ROLE:

The appointed Real Estate Development Solicitor will advice on and project management some of the UK's most biggest and most significant redevelopment schemes. The Solicitor will assist the partners within the team on all aspects of real estate transactions as well as managing individual property portfolios , including the granting of leases, lease renewals and rent reviews. In addition, the Solicitor will assist on due diligence for the financing of corporate transactions. The team act on all aspects of the development process and have an enviable range of clients including leading residential and commercial developers, investors, landowners and occupiers.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Real Estate Development Solicitor should have excellent academics and should have at least two years of post qualification experience in real estate acquisitions, disposal and landlord and tenant matters and should have a strong knowledge of all areas of English land law and landlord and tenant law. It would be seen as a signification advantage if candidates have had previous experience of acting for developer and investor clients. The Solicitor should be used to handling a heavy workload and be confident in their ability to work independently as it is likely the appointed Solicitor will take responsibility for their own projects from the outset. The Real Estate Development Solicitor should have strong time management skills and proven experience of meeting strict deadlines.
