Senior Contracts Lawyer 7+ PQE
My client is an international law firm with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice rooted in its deep understanding of the sectors and geographies in which its clients operate.
With over 1,500 lawyers operating from 23 locations throughout the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, they are well-placed to advise on complex multi-jurisdictional matters across a full range of legal disciplines.
They are looking to expand their Birmingham office with the hire of a senior commercial contracts lawyer of at least 7 years PQE and upwards. The CPC team combines procurement and legal contract expertise to support the firm in its sourcing, contracting and management of 3rd party suppliers, both in the UK and increasingly in relation to its offices outside the UK. The team was established in the Spring of 2014 and its services to the business formally launched in September 2014. There are two sides to CPC, procurement and contracts, both integrated and working together. On the contracts side, the team currently comprises a Legal Director, two Senior Contracts Lawyers and Contracts Lawyer.
The role of the Senior Contracts Lawyer is generally to take a leading role in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts in support of the procurement, contracting and supplier management activities undertaken by CPC and the buying community. The business functions provided with procurement and contract support by CPC are IT, facilities, HR and learning, business development, communications, knowledge, finance and risk, compliance and legal services.
