The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Private Client Lawyer, between NQ and 2 years PQE, to join a well established and busy Private Client Department based in Reading.

You will be dealing with a mixed caseload of all areas of Private Client work, including assisting other solicitors in the Department when required, dealing with preparation of Wills, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters and Inheritance and Tax Planning matters.

In addition there may be an element of contentious probate work alongside the Litigation Team.

The Candidate

Strong academics are essential with a minimum 2:1 degree with Private Client experience gained with a respected National or Regional Firm.

You should also have an ambition to obtain STEP qualification.

The ideal candidate must also possess a willingness to develop and expand their experience and knowledge and be keen to support the Firm's and the Department's business development.

You must be able to handle sensitive matters discreetly and have the ability to work under time constraints and prioritise work load.
