A niche commercial firm based in Leeds City Centre, with a strong reputation, is looking to recruit a commercial property solicitor to join its close knit team and handle a mix of work on a PART-TIME basis.
They are a genuinely lovely firm and the Managing Director is really committed to creating both a successful and enjoyable working environment as well as a successful career path for the Lawyers within the firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work and keep their experience up to speed, but who can't commit to the long hours. As their only Commercial Property lawyer you need to be confident in all aspects of general commercial property work, and if, over time you are interested in further developing this role there is certainly scope for you to do so by getting involved in the business development.
This is a standalone role and you will be the only solicitor doing that type of work for the firm. This will vary from acquisitions and disposals, to landlord and tenant and management work etc.
There is an existing caseload which naturally flows from their clients, however the Managing Director would encourage you to undertake both networking and BD to help them in continuing to develop the work
There will be lots of client contact, independence and autonomy - this is a 'freestanding' role so you will need to be comfortable handling all aspects of the work yourself, you will however be very much made to feel like part of the firm so whilst an independent role it shouldn't be a lonely one!
The firm needs someone who is confident to take on their own commercial property matters from start to finish.
Rather than being specific about the experience level they are happy to be quite open minded as the fit and approach is key within such a small firm. It's critical that you are however a qualified solicitor
They are looking for someone who is confident with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop business relationships
This role would really suit someone wanting a part time role that is a little less conventional and really keen to avoid glass ceilings!
