We are currently working on a fantastic opportunity for a Lawyer to join a leading international law firm's Construction Disputes team. Based in central Leeds and close to rail links, you will be joining an expanding team that works with an impressive range of private and public sector clients. The firm have a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across all sectors. They consistently rank very highly on the Legal 500 UK Guide and have frequently been recognized as one of the most innovative teams. They are a strong believer in agile working and will also definitely consider candidates who are looking for part-time hours too.
The existing caseload is a mixed bag of contentious engineering and construction work acting on behalf of top contractors, project companies, developers, public bodies, funders and insurers both nationally and internationally.
Joining a team of around 12 people, there is a big support base and opportunity to get stuck into some high quality work.
The firm encourage the team to get involved with business development to help develop those rewarding and sustainable client relationships.
There is a fantastic ongoing training and development programme which ensures that you have every opportunity to develop as a first rate lawyer.
There is the opportunity to work extremely closely with the clients, and even spend time with them on site via secondment.
Ideally looking around the 4-6 year PQE mark but are open minded so candidates that fall outside of this bracket and possess the correct skills and knowledge to succeed in this role, are encouraged to apply.
They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with an existing caseload and who has real ambition for this type of work. They are interested in quality people so someone who has excellent technical skills, is commercially aware and a great team player.
It is likely that you will have worked within one of the major national construction litigation teams however they are open to considering people from other backgrounds too.
