Our client is an award winning law firm with a number of offices in the UK and overseas. They are currently recruiting for an Occupational Health Paralegal to join their team in Bristol. The Occupational Health team deals with EL and PL claims, notification of incidents, portal, pre-litigation and litigated together with other injury claims along with various disease matters to include deafness, VWF, asbestos injuries, WRULD/RSI and other types of disease claims such as asthma and stress related injuries. It serves a broad range of insurers, runoff syndicates, brokers and the self-insured.

We have recently recruited 2 new employees for them; the firm is growing and they offer structured career progression. This vacancy has arisen due to an increase in instructions and our client will consider applications from candidates with strong academics at degree level or above who possess relevant experience of fee earning and an understanding of MI. The role will involve a range of work but with an emphasis on management information (MI) support. There may also be an element of EL and PL portal claims. Interested candidates should be able to demonstrate a real interest in Insurance Claims work, work well as part of a team and have strong communication skills and attention to detail. Experience of Fixed Fee Delegated Authority working is an advantage. Knowledge of the Lloyds Minimum standards and Qlikview would be an advantage. Full understanding of the EL/PL claims handling environment will be required - there will be a requirement to assist team members in progressing cases, under supervision when required, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients.
