Experienced Banking Lawyer
A well-established, corporate and commercial law firm is looking for an experienced Banking Lawyer to join their busy offices based in Leeds City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding firm that acts for numerous leading businesses and individuals in the region.
Acting for a wide range of corporate borrowers, banks, building societies and other financial institutions.
Advising on all aspects of banking and finance transactions, including structured finance, investment and development property finance, secured and unsecured lending, acquisition and mezzanine finance, project finance and PFI.
Advising banks, investors, individuals and corporate borrowers in relation to various debt and funding aspects of transactions, including facilities, security, refinancing arrangements and priority/inter-creditor arrangements.
Working on an interesting range of banking transactions with a broad range of clients, including banks, private equity and venture capital firms
Assisting with the negotiation of security and guarantee arrangements, bank facility financial covenant re-sets, the waiver of covenant breaches and amendments to lending documentation to reflect the changing business and financial standing of borrowers.
Assist with the growth of the Corporate/Banking team and the Firm as a whole and get involved in a range of marketing and business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will need the ability to prioritise their own workload and be able to work to deadlines. A brilliant eye for detail and the ability to develop successful, long-term relationships with clients is a must with the experience of identifying and developing marketing opportunities being advantageous. The banking team are relaxed but professional, all with a good sense of humour.
In terms of level of PQE, our client is open minded and will consider applications of Banking Lawyers with at least 6 years PQE. However, this is only a guideline and candidates that fall outside of this bracket and have the relevant experience will still be considered.
