JOB TITLE: Intellectual Property Solicitor / Trade Mark Attorney

PQE REQUIRED: NQ up to 4 years

LOCATION: Hampshire

This is an exciting new opportunity for a junior to mid-level Solicitor or Trade Mark Attorney to undertake a wide range of high quality contentious and non-contentious intellectual property work. You will join a team that is well-established and a highly-regarded practice that counts many household names and luxury international brands as key clients. Working as part of a cohesive team, you will be assisting senior Lawyers with their workload as well as running your own caseload under supervision. The role is fast paced and will vary day to day, with its focus predominantly on contentious work, though there will also be some non-contentious work. Typical duties will include dealing with trade mark prosecution matters and IP infringement proceedings. As part of this you will, among other things, draft trade mark specifications, prepare trade mark applications, deal with registry office actions, manage oppositions in and out, assist with portfolio management and take action against third parties which infringe the rights of the firm's clients.


The successful candidate will with be a qualified Solicitor or Trade Mark Attorney with at least one year post qualification experience in a specialist team. The firm will also consider exceptional NQs / Trainee Trade Mark Attorneys. You will already have a good technical grounding in intellectual property law (through practice and/or post-graduate study) and litigation / registry procedures. You should also be keen to get involved in business and practice development activities within the team as a whole. You will need a strong intellect to succeed in this role, as well as being able to demonstrate initiative, drive and great organisational skills.
