Trade Finance Lawyer
Our client is a global law firm representing international businesses from financial services, technology and media to energy, shipping and real estate advising clients on cross border transactions.
A new role has arisen for a trade finance lawyer to join a highly ranked team within the legal directories.
The team advises on complex international and high value financings in relation to commodities, energy and metals.
You will be responsible for drafting, advising on, and negotiating security agreements including assignments, commodity pledges, account charges, and guarantees.
The successful candidate will have 3-6pqe with a strong academic background (2:1 or above), and will have worked within a leading national or City law firm with an established trade finance team.
You will have strong technical ability, solid knowledge of banking law with experience of trade finance and/or emerging market finance, coupled with sound drafting skills
Essential are strong interpersonal and written presentation skills coupled with the ability to interact and develop business relationships and assist in preparation of pitches to win business.
