The Team

Our Pensions Group, based in all three UK offices, are involved in all aspects of advisory and corporate support pensions advice. The Group works closely with our Business Support and Restructuring team to provide advice to the PPF, restructuring professionals and trustees on pensions issues in the context of corporate duties, as well as with the Litigation department where there is a partner who specialises in pensions litigation.


Our Requirements

We are looking for a newly qualified Pensions Associate, up to one year qualified, to work on a variety of pension matters. The role will involve corporate support work, advising scheme trustees and advising corporates.  There is the potential to undertake some pensions litigation work if of particular interest

This is a high performing, cohesive and busy team with excellent prospects for career development.  You will handle your own matters (with supervision) and assist the Partners and Managing Associates on more complex matters.  We have a strong reputation for providing Associates with early levels of responsibility within a supportive, stretching environment.


Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role)

Suitable candidates will have strong academics and gained at least six months pensions experience during their training contract or post qualification at a City or leading national practice recognised for banking work.

Along with excellent communication skills, we are seeking candidates with a good grounding in the basic elements of pensions law, a willingness to learn and develop commercial awareness, good social skills and plenty of drive and enthusiasm to help us to provide an excellent client service. In addition to this you should be able to demonstrate you are able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment, where you will be required to meet tight deadlines.
