We are a top 100, London-based law firm with around 200 highly regarded specialist solicitors and lawyers. We advise a mix of commercial, not-for-profit, regulatory and private clients. We are expanding the education aspect of our highly regarded Chambers and Legal 500 ranked Children and Education department, which is based in our Kingston upon Thames office.

We are seeking an experienced education law solicitor to run their own diverse caseload of education matters ranging from Early Years to Higher Education with a focus on our core areas of work for individuals including:

  • Special educational needs

  • Equality Act claims

  • Admissions

  • Exclusions

  • Complaints

Also the ability to work collaboratively across teams in child protection, negligence and breach of contract matters occurring in an education setting and governance matters for schools, charities, companies and other organisations with an education aspect.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Educated to degree level preferably 2:1 or above

  • LPC / BVC

  • At least 2 years PQE

  • Resilient with a high level of self-efficacy

  • Excellent client care skills

  • Strong organisational, time and financial management skills.

  • IT literate (e.g. Microsoft 2010, DMS, DNA)

  • A special interest in SEN outside of the law is desirable
