This law firm is regarded as an elite US law firm with revenues in excess of $1 billion. The firm has a number of lawyers recognised in the directories as market leaders. The firm has had a great 2017 and London is performing well.
The London office is very keen to grow the disputes offering. The firm is currently reviewing the litigation strategy but it is clear there is a gap for a commercial litigation partner. There have been some changes in the London team which has meant the firm has been in a position to make the hire of a very high litigation lawyer and is now looking to make a strategic hire of a commercial litigation lawyer. There is existing work from a number of firm clients and the amount is estimated to be a minimum of $2 million per year and there are good reasons for this estimate. The work is generated from a number of different sources but not banks at this stage, so it has been mainly from funds, private equity funds and corporates, headquartered in Europe and the US. Background is very important and this would suit a partner from a larger litigation team looking to step into a broader more autonomous role where you will essentially lead and shape the practice. There is existing support and other litigation partners with whom to strategize.
