Having grown significantly over the past few years and with a plethora of new instructions (both standalone and support) this quality financial services team at one of the most successful US law firms in London is looking to add some senior bench strength to their line-up. There is space for a junior partner and a senior associate to join on a track to partnership.

The team is one of the standout groups in London, offering true commercial advice to clients – from advising on the strategy during the startup of funds, through the licensing and all work beyond. The team’s funds clients are both firm clients and direct team instructions – often some of the largest fund managers in the world. In addition, there is significant support during M&A, and afterwards – supporting the activities of a range of portfolio clients. The work is not purely funds focused.

Having recently won a raft of new clients (and having to turn away more work), some of whom moved away from the magic circle to instruct this team (though remain as deal and funds counsel), as well as hired into the group at varying levels, the work is top tier and plentiful.

This all adds up to a great opportunity for a financial services regulatory lawyer with c.4/5pqe to join and take advantage of a unique progression timetable. The successful candidate will have experience of a range of wholesale financial services, ideally with a focus on regulatory and compliance issues affecting private funds.
