Childcare Lawyer Locum, 3+ years PQE - Immediate start available - Well regarded Local Authority seeks a talented Locum Child Care Lawyer to handle a public law caseload on a Locum basis.

JOB TITLE: Childcare Lawyer Locum


LOCATION: Worcester (Commutable from; Worcestershire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire)

HOURLY RATE: Around £30.00-40.00 per hour dependant upon experience


Excellent opportunity for a Locum Child Care Solicitor with 3+ PQE. Ideally we are looking for a Locum to work 5 days per week with 1-2 days WFH, but would consider less for the right candidate. As an experienced Locum you will conduct your own advocacy and will have the support of a legal assistant (undertakes all apps drafting/witness liaison, statement gathering etc) and a legal clerk (mainly court bundles and filing and serving).The caseloads are reasonable- carrying about 6-10 in court and 2-4 Pre-proceedings cases. Hours are limited to 35 (but temporarily higher- 7hours more if wanted).


Bringing a minimum of three years experience the appointed Locum Childcare Solicitor will be required to apply their transferable skills effectively to cover an established public law caseload. You will have the ability to hit the ground running with the existing caseload of matters and to integrate with the existing team. You will be available to commence a new locum assignment at short notice on an on-going basis.
