This is a superb, exciting new vacancy we are working on for this major Bristol practice who are looking for the all-important last piece of the jigsaw for their specialist Planning & Environmental team here in Bristol.

Our client is a leading 'national' practice with a large and very successful broad-ranging Real Estate practice (over 50 lawyers just here in their Bristol offices) which includes very strong sub-teams dealing with all of their non-contentious Construction Law work for example as well as all the various related Planning & Environmental considerations.

You will join a specialist team consisting of a lead Legal Director/Partner plus an Associate and an experienced Solicitor so there is a wealth of senior level experience to learn from and surround yourself with at this vital stage in your own career development.

Our client realises specialist P&E lawyers are always hard to find so while this is a key appointment for the team they are willing to be as flexible as possible and open-minded about the candidate background and PQE, although the absolute ideal would be someone who has had perhaps at least three or four years of strong relevant experience and is now looking to progress and the next serious step forward.

The team undertakes a wide variety of work including a lot of regular/reliable work acting for major housebuilder clients for example as well as for local planning authorities, the NHS, and an array of commercial and private developers. The team advises on a wide variety of work so every day is different but you should certainly have strong experience in some or all of the following :

- s.106 Planning obligations
- Infrastructure and highway agreements
- Rights of way
- CIL
- Planning & Environmental appeals and judicial review
- Enforcement
- CPOs
- Contaminated land liabilities
- Waste management regulation and environmental permitting
- Statutory nuisance
- Floodplain issues
- Environmental impact assessments

Does this sound of interest - there is a market-leading salary on offer here as well as a very attractive bonus structure and extensive further benefits.
