This Top International Law firm are currently looking for a International Trade associate with NQ-4PQE to join their Competition EU and Trade team in London.

Their Competition, EU and Trade Group are recognised as one of the leading competition / antitrust practices globally with over 50 lawyers located across Europe, the US and Asia. Many of their partners are rated in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

Their International Trade Law team, forming part of Competition, EU and Trade, are recognised as a Tier 2 practice in Legal 500 and are known for adding value to client relationships through the efficiency of experience, expertise and concise advice. Their team of over 40 international trade law specialists throughout the UK, Europe, US, Middle East, Africa and Asia are experienced in handling the full range of international and national legal issues encompassing international trade regulation and disputes. Their clients include multinational and regional businesses, governments, non-governmental organisations and trade associations.

They advise on a wide variety of matters, including: export controls and sanctions, tariffs and customs laws, trade remedies and international trade agreements.

You would work within a close-knit and supportive team including 10 other associates in London. On international trade law matters, you would report directly to their highly rated London partner. You would also work with the other UK partners and partners from their non-UK offices, including their Washington office.

You will need to have excellent drafting skills and have a good understanding of EU law and international trade law principles (preferably with a good level of knowledge of export controls/sanctions, customs and World Trade Organisation rules). Interest in geopolitics, Brexit and global trade policy is strongly encouraged also.
