Intellectual Property Solicitor
An unmissable new role has arisen with a highly regarded firm based in Leeds with a national reputation. The firm is looking to recruit a Solicitor into their Intellectual Property department and is keen to expand the department due to the volume of work they have coming though. The Intellectual property team is really growing and so is their presence in the market. You will be handling a mixture of contentious and non-contentious work with a bias towards contentious work.
Our client is one of the few firms in the UK that can genuinely offer the completed intellectual property law service. The firm's lawyers include both Solicitors and UK/European trade mark and design attorneys. You will be joining a team comprising of six dedicated IP specialists. The team is one of the largest in the UK outside London.
Roles like this are very few and far between, so this is a fantastic opportunity and not one to be missed if you think you have the right experience.
The team's expertise spans the whole spectrum of IP law from licensing deals, commercial partnerships, social media advice, enforcement, brand protection and exploitation; through to trade mark and domain name registration and portfolio management.
The team helps their clients develop, protect and exploit their ideas/brands and offer a wide variety of services relating to IP, covering advice regarding patents, trademarks, copyright, design and domain name creation, management, enforcement and exploitation
The work is a real mix of non-contentious and contentious work however the bias is very much towards the non-contentious side of things (around 60%). Your caseload will include matter such as patents, trademarks, copyright, and design rights. You will also be advising on global branding, IP audits and licensing issues, to name a few.
The team works on behalf of a range of client from Yorkshire based businesses through to national and international PLCs. There will be loads of support from much more senior people in the team, they also work fairly reasonable hours too considering they're a large firm.
Our client is ideally looking to recruit a Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' experience handling Intellectual Property matters.
