Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive
A regional firm in the West Midlands is looking for an Employment solicitor to join a small yet busy team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting a varied workload and the opportunity to have responsibility for their own workload.
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a regional law firm looking for an Employment Solicitor due to growth.
This role will provide you with a varied role with he opportunity to work ion contentious and non-contentious matters.The team has an existing caseload so you will be busy from the outset.
The successful Employment Solicitor will:
*Advise on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including but not limited to Employment Tribunal Claims, advising on disciplinary, grievance procedures, maternity rights and Corporate Support work.
*Drafting a range of documents form employee handbooks and Settlement Agreements.
*Work with a varied client base across the Midlands.
*An active involvement in business development and marketing is beneficial to maintain and develop a strong network for the department and firm.
About the person
The Employment Solicitor must be:
*A UK qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' experience.
*Have a strong academic background.
*Ideally have experience in contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Desired attributes of the Employment Solicitor include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
