An unmissable new role has arisen for a Solicitor to join our client's reputable Construction and Engineering team. The firm is based in Newcastle and is looking to recruit someone with strong litigation experience, but doesn't necessarily have experience in Construction law.
The Construction team provides focused, commercial advice on construction, engineering and infrastructucture projects, both in the UK and overseas, working closely with clients and other teams in the firm to provide practical guidance from project inception through the procurement and tender stated, to funding, completion and beyond.
This is a fantastic role for someone who is looking to join a friendly and dynamic team which is entering a new chapter of growth
The lawyers in the team also support their clients with disputes ranging from litigations and adjudications to arbitrations and dispute resolution boards.
The focus on this role is on handling disputes, meaning the firm is needing to recruit someone with strong litigation experience, not necessarily within the construction field. You might want to learn more about non contentious construction work but the focus of your role will be handling disputes.
The team handles a good spread of interesting and demanding work across a full range of clients from commercial developers to offshore oil and gas contractors, architects and engineers to main contractors and specialist sub-contractors, progress plant contractors, universities and the institutions.
The firm is ideally looking to recruit a Solicitor with between 4 and 7 years PQE. However, this is a rough guideline and if your experience falls closely outside of this PQE range but you would like to be considered, then please don't hesitate to apply.
In order to be considered, you will have strong Litigation experience, but this doesn't necessarily mean within the construction field. However, you will have an interest in construction and a desire to learn a new specialism.
You will have an interest in participating in the firm's business and marketing development.
A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer for the successful candidate, as well as the opportunity to handle a caseload of high quality work.
