This is an exciting opportunity to join our Medical Negligence team based in Birmingham. Our clients highly regarded team handles medical negligence claims for people who have suffered illness or injury as a result of substandard care in any medical setting such as treatment from a GP, NHS hospital or private clinic. For the appointed Clinical Negligence Solicitor, the work is varied and includes all types of medical negligence casework, including claims involving birth injury (including injury to both mother and baby), brain and spinal injury, negligent surgery, fatal accidents and inquest representation, delays in diagnosis or inappropriate treatment. The successful Clinical Negligence Solicitor will be handling a caseload which will include the investigation and litigation of complex and mid-value cases, whilst assisting other colleagues on high value/catastrophic injury cases worth up to many millions of pounds. A key aspect of the role of Clinical Negligence Solicitor will be to contribute confidently and proactively to their business development and networking. As part of a rapidly growing team, this role provides the successful Clinical Negligence Solicitor with a fantastic platform to develop their career and progress within a highly regarded firm.


" 4 years plus post-qualified experience in Medical Negligence in a Claimant setting, although Solicitors who have Defendant experience will also be considered.

" Strong business development skills and excellent communication and inter personal skills

" Experience supervising and developing more junior members of a team.

" Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
