Employment Solicitor - NQ / Assistant Solicitor
Based in Manchester, this Legal 100 firm is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor.
Enviable career opportunity for a Newly Qualified or specialist Employment Solicitor to join a join a market-leading team. The department is led by highly regarded partners with a reputation for providing excellent mentoring.
Retained by an impressive corporate and commercial client base, you will enjoy undertaking a diverse range of both contentious and non-contentious matters. The team is also instructed by senior executive and directors in complex and interesting cases such as whistleblowing, exit negotiations, dismissals and post-termination disputes.
Typical instructions cover:
- Tribunal Proceedings for Unfair and Wrongful dismissals,
- Discrimination actions,
- Redundancy and Restructuring programmes,
- Severance discussions and Compromise Agreements,
- Contract variations,
- Advising HR departments on grievance and procedural issues,
- Drafting employment documentation including contracts, handbooks and policies
- TUPE advice and negotiations,
- Providing employment law support to Corporate Law Team
- Post-termination restraint advice and support to Litigation Team
Please note at NQ level, applicants must have completed at least one seat/ 6 months’ experience in employment law in order to be considered.
