Non-Contentious Construction Associate 0-3PQE – US Firm, Small Team

Sector/Practice Area
Vacancy Type
Lawyers, Private Practice
Full time

The London office of this US law firm has recently undergone significant expansion, particularly in relation to its real estate group, and following several high-profile partner-level hires it now boasts a full service real estate offering, including construction. These additions have been extremely successful, and due to the continuing high levels of workflow, the firm is now keen to grow the construction team at associate level.

The role will involve a range of non-contentious construction work advising developers, tenants and funders in relation to issues such as forms of building contract, appointments, and collateral warranties, and the rights of recourse available under each.

The ideal candidate will be between 0-3 years’ PQE, and will have trained and qualified at a City law firm which is well-regarded for construction work. Real estate is one of the firm’s core strengths in the US, and it is committed to mirroring this here in London - the role will therefore focus on real estate, and consequently previous experience advising on the construction aspects of real estate and finance transactions is essential.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is keen to join a small team where you can get really involved in the practice, rather than feeling like a cog in a wheel. Due to the group’s small size you will have the opportunity to develop quickly and gain responsibility at an early stage and work closely with partners.

The firm is committed to expanding its London offering, and with the office set to continue growing it’s an exciting time to join, and in addition, the firm offers a competitive salary (without the kind of culture typically associated with US law firms).
