Residential Development Solicitor - 0-5 years PQE
Real Estate - Residential Development Solicitor 0-5 years PQE
Whilst in recent months Brexit has caused a number of ripples impacting on the real estate markets this is definitely not something that has impacted on our client a leading international practice.
Like corporate and other commercial areas real estate roles continue to arise at a level below partnership but the relatively short supply of candidates make recruiting for such roles much harder. Even more so, it becomes harder to genuinely differentiate between roles.
In this instance we feel that there is a genuine and marked difference not just in the nature of work but also in the team structure and the very clear intent and have a path for career progression. Often said but not always delivered but there are clear reasons why the successful candidate will see that clear progression route if they assimilate quickly into the team.
The work itself has a development focus. Primarily residential in make-up but often with a wider commercial and/or mixed use schemes. The role involves acting for some huge asset holders within the social housing sector.
Social housing is often seen as a turn off rather than competing with other commercial and private sector development roles. Given the context of this firm's profile and client roster that couldn't be much further from the truth and the scale of the projects would rival many a private sector commercial development role. More so in fact as more and more property investors look to affordable housing and new schemes as long term strategic investment.
In addition to quality of work the team are building with legacy in mind and they are also looking for someone who wants to make a career in this burgeoning sector. There is a chance to come into the team and be rewarded quickly if you are able to make an immediate impact.
The role would suit an commercial property and development solicitor between 0- 5 years PQE. NQ's will ideally have some specific residential development experience if applying. You will need to have ambition and drive and be looking to make a career for yourself at a top tier firm.
If you are a commercial property solicitor looking for something different then it is one to consider and we would welcome the chance to have a confidential talk with around this. Alternatively please send your CV to Joe Gregory for review.
