In House Commercial Lawyer - Frankfurt

The company has recently undergone a global corporate transformation and this role has been newly created to help drive growth in the DACH region.
Predominantly focused on the Europe franchised estate and especially (but not exclusively) Germany, Austria & Switzerland (DACH).
The incumbent will process new hotel applications to support the company's system size and net new hotel signing targets by preparing effective and enforceable franchise and ancillary agreements and other agreements as required throughout the franchise life-cycle.
The candidate will provide support to the Development Design & Openings team, Investment Analysis team, Operations team, and other stakeholders who rely upon the legal department in Europe.
Although previous franchise experience is desirable but not essential, the team is looking for a junior lawyer who enjoys autonomy and responsibility.
Previous experience of contract drafting and drafting is required.
The successful candidate should be driven, ready to engage with his/her primarily internal stakeholders and show a keen interest in the hospitality sector.
Although the role is based in Frankfurt, there will be full support from the rest of the Legal team and the direct reports, who are based in the Home Counties.
Full training will be provided on the standard form agreements and documents which will be primarily used in the role and there will be regular, scheduled legal training as well as commercial training on the hotels sector.
A German qualified lawyer 1-2pqe with German as your first language/mother tongue, you will also be fluent in written and spoken English.
You will have knowledge of German commercial contract law and will have gained experience in a law firm or in-house legal department ideally in a franchise environment
