JOB TITLE: Private Client Solicitor - South West

PQE REQUIRED: 4 years+

LOCATION: South West ( Commutable from: Bath, Bristol, Cirencester, Stroud, Swindon & Newbury)

OVERVIEW;

The appointed Private Client Solicitor will need to have a good working knowledge of: trust law - whether it be creating trusts or bringing them to an end, advising on taxation issues affecting trusts and trust property, drafting appropriate deeds of appointment and retirement and deeds of advancement and should be enthusiastic about keeping up their skills in this area so that they could, if required, advise and supervise on trust administration issues. The motivated and professional Private Client Solicitor should also have knowledge of inheritance tax and capital gains tax law generally along with a sufficient knowledge of income tax and SDLT to be able to advise on these taxes in relation to trusts and estates, and individuals. The ideal Private Client Solicitor should also have a through knowledge of will drafting, both simple wills and bespoke wills for clients with complex affairs and if required be prepared to work with legal advisers in other jurisdictions to deal with cross-border questions where clients have assets in more than one country. Showing the ability to meet and exceed client and referrer expectations and to maintain long-term client and referrer relationships are a requirement of the appointed Private Client Solicitor, who should also be able to bring some client and/or referrer following with them, or should be able to demonstrate these skills in some other way. Travelling to other offices within the firm will be required. This firm prides themselves on their team working culture and can offer a friendly and supportive work environment.
