FINTECH PARTNER – Central London

Ref: 12451

FinTech Partner sought by remarkable boutique law firm in London.

The firm has assembled a compelling line up of partners with proven expertise dedicated to the FinTech scene.  Having continually invested in its capabilities connected to this dynamic and increasingly lucrative sector, this private practice now has comprehensive legal expertise covering each business need relevant to start ups and existing suppliers and buyers in the FinTech market.

As the firm goes from strength to strength, the partnership still wishes to add further to its talented ranks.  FinTech partners with a greater leaning towards the regulatory side specifically are of particular interest, and the firm is similarly keen to keep pace with demand on the corporate transactional and commercial contracts side too.

Whether your FinTech expertise relates mainly to regulatory and compliance matters, corporate deals, or commercial agreements, the partners will be keen to speak with you.  Equally, if financial technology is just one prominent string to your bow, alongside a related field, there is a good chance your wider practice could fit well, as the firm’s wider service offering extends to the related areas you would expect (e.g. broader financial services matters; corporate finance and M&A for dynamic SMEs; commercial advice for emergent technology and creative enterprises).

The firm was amongst the earliest to recognise and invest in opportunities presented by the FinTech market.  Offering a broad spectrum of legal advice to financial services sector clientele, and having an equally strong reputation in the technology industry, the firm was always well placed to utilise both strengths in relation to its increasing number of financial technology clients.

Working alongside pioneering, established partners, and ambitious up-and-coming partners, upon joining this niche firm you will inherit the ideal platform to further build your practice and reputation.  The practice is already seen as a dynamic legal services provider of choice for developers of cutting-edge and disruptive technology; suppliers to banks, hedge funds, brokers, insurers and other financial institutions; and those entities procuring these services.  Clients range from start ups and entrepreneurs, to private equity, venture capital and angel investors, and banking institutions.

More broadly speaking, the firm on the whole also services a range of creative businesses, social media companies, online retailers, comparison sites, web content providers, publishers, app developers, media companies.

These clients are often headquartered overseas, or operate in several international locations, with the firm advising in the context of the UK/Europe, in conjunction with affiliate firms where appropriate.

Between the existing partners and associates, they typically cover the following areas, and would like to bring on board further expertise to tie in with these fields (amongst others): payment services; peer-to-peer lending; cyber security; virtual currency; e-money; financial analytics; disruptive financial/insurance products; trading platforms; mobile payments; financial market infrastructure; challenger banking; and money transfers.

Whilst the partners have crafted a very strong practice from the point of view of their individual and collective technical legal skills, and the quality of the client base, they are equally proud of the firm’s positive culture.  They have recruited wisely and maintained an environment that fosters collaborative behaviour, high levels of integrity, and hunger and drive.

If you are developing, or have established, a reputation for regulatory/compliance, company/commercial or corporate expertise in this arena, please get in touch in confidence to learn more about this opportunity.
